The clownfish frolic around in mid air, and children of all ages will take great delight in watching it with all its lovely colored markings. The Air Swimmers are able to swim through the air as they are filled with helium, but you need not worry they are easy to refill when needed – just buy a helium tank or take them to a local store that has one. Those that make the Air Swimmers state that they will stay afloat for around two weeks for each fill, however, this will of course depend partly on your elevation above sea level and some buyers have stated that a fill only lasts them for a few days. The remote control that operates the Air Swimmers use three AAA batteries, and the fish itself needs one to help move – Note that these are not provided so you will need to make sure you have bought them in order to use the Air Swimmer. The effective range on the remote control is 40 feet, and it will enable you to move the fish to a full range of 360 degrees, plus up and down.
The Air Swimmers are intended to be used indoors. If you tried to use them outside because they are quite light, it would not take much wind to blow your Air Swimmer around and make it impossible to control. You can have great fun playing with them indoors though, so this is not really an issue. Just watch the smiles on people they float past!
Air Swimmers are slightly short of 5 feet long and with the back fin attached are around 3 feet high, so you will need a fairly decent size space to use one in. That is maybe one drawback, they are not going to be suitable to use in say, a very small apartment as they are just too big!
As mentioned before, although these were primarily designed as a toy for children (not under three years though, due to choking hazards), adults get a lot of fun from them too.
